Gage Putnam has been a Hearing Aid Technician at Nelson Audiology since 2024. He chose to pursue a career in audiology because it perfectly blends his interests in technology, psychology, and science. Experiencing hearing loss and tinnitus within his own family showed him firsthand how vital proper audiological care is to a person’s quality of life. He is proud to be a part of a team providing expert audiological care to his community.
Gage graduated Summa Cum Laude from Maryville University of St. Louis in May of 2026, earning his Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Deaf Studies. He currently attends the University of Iowa and will graduate with his doctorate in Audiology in May of 2030. His clinical interests are hearing aid technologies, hearing assistive devices, and hearing conservation.
Gage resides in Hillsboro. Outside of the office he serves on two national executive boards for the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) and collaborates with a multicultural constituency group for the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). In his free time, Gage loves to travel, run, and explore the latest tech trends.
